1. How do I get a copy of an audit report?

Audit reports are available online through the County Auditor’s website, by contacting the Auditor’s office directly via phone or email or by coming into the Auditor’s office.

2. How can I report fraud, waste, or misuse of County resources?

Reports can be made through the County Auditor’s website, the confidential hotline at 636-949-7526, or by emailing the County Auditor directly at auditor@sccmo.org.

3. How can I get a copy of the County’s Financial Statements and Single Audit?

The County’s Financial Statements and Single Audit are available through the Finance Department. 

4. How are internal audits scheduled?

The St. Charles County Auditor's Risk Assessment and Audit Plan define the office's plan for the next four years. The Risk Assessment outlines the level of risk and the need for audit emphasis associated with a particular department or office and determines how frequently the area will be reviewed. Based on the results of the Risk Assessment, the Audit Plan will set the schedule of audits for the coming years. The St. Charles County Auditor's Risk Assessment and Audit Plan are updated annually.
