4. Museum Offers New Films, Programs
The St. Charles County Heritage Museum, located at the corner of Heritage Landing and South St. Peters Parkway, is a fantastic place to visit for its dynamic exhibits and proximity to the Katy Trail and Centennial Greenway– and if you’re also into documentaries, arts and crafts, games and other extracurricular activities, you won’t want to miss several new exciting events on the Museum’s calendar. 5. "Make a Save" at Pet Adoption
If you want to add a furry new friend – and hockey-watching buddy – to your home team, now is the perfect time to visit the St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center! During the "Make a Save!" promotion, Feb. 1 to March 31, donate one of the following pet food items to receive half off the $60 dog or cat adoption fee! - 12-pack of canned dog or cat food
- 5-pound or larger bag of dog or cat food
- Medium-sized or larger container of dog or cat treats
Donations benefit animals at the Center and will be shared with pet foster parents and those in need through the Center’s monthly Pet Food Pantry. Share the promotion with your family and friends and check out animals available for adoption online!

A Message from the County Executive
Your elected officials in St. Charles County Government strive to provide you with the facilities and basic critical services you deserve. Sixty percent of those services – police, corrections, sheriff, public health and many others – are funded through the County’s General Operations budget, which comes from our local sales tax.
Over the past year, I have made our citizens aware that our sales tax collections are eroding, due largely in part to e-commerce. The more people buy on line, the less tax the County – and County municipalities – receive. County Government has had to shift and re-shift our priorities and resources accordingly to balance our budget. Unlike other counties, we receive no property tax for general revenue...MORE
