May 8, 2018

St. Charles County, Missouri – Synergy Medical, a supplier of medical-surgical equipment to more than 1,200 health systems and medical offices around the nation and abroad, was honored by the St. Charles County Council recently as part of National Small Business Week. National Small Business Week has been proclaimed by every U.S. President since 1963 to highlight the programs and services available to entrepreneurs through the U.S. Small Business Administration and other government agencies.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our community, from the boutique shops in historic St. Charles to machine shops in Wentzville,” says St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann. “We are pleased to honor Synergy Medical this year as a wonderful example of how entrepreneurship is alive and well in St. Charles County.”

Founded by Jeremy Buchheit in 2005, Synergy Medical is a business graduate of the EDC Incubator and has been certified by the federal government as a “Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.” The company now is based in Lake Saint Louis and had more than $2.6 million in total revenues last year.

“Small businesses comprise an estimated 75 percent of all businesses in St. Charles County and account for nearly two out of three jobs in our national economy,” Ehlmann says.
