[ARCHIVED] Experience an Educational Adventure at Homeschool Days on May 31 and Aug. 29

St. Charles County, Missouri – Homeschooled children and their families are invited to enjoy a day of learning and exploring The Historic Daniel Boone Home in Defiance, during Homeschool Days, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., May 31 and Aug. 29! Children will learn about life on the frontier through fun hands-on programs and demonstrations throughout our historic village.

At Homeschool Days, our knowledgeable staff and interpretive volunteers will assist homeschooled children from across the region obtain core school hours though this unique park experience. Offered twice a year, these single day events are perfect for students ages 5 to 18 who are learning about Missouri history. Participants should bring a sack lunch and prepare to have fun! They’ll dip candles, play frontier games, marble paper, work with carpenters, and more! Taste of Mayberry Kettle Corn will also be on site selling their sweet treats to guests.

Cost of the program is $5 per student. Receive a free adult ticket when you register three children. Space is limited, and pre-registration is suggested. To make a reservation, call the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department at 636-949-7535 or register online at http://bit.ly/2HEvURp.
