St. Charles County, Missouri — The Health & Human Services sector is one of the fastest growing fields in the region and across the state. Employers and trainers are eager to find workers for the numerous job opportunities available.
To assist them, St. Charles County’s Workforce & Business Development Department is holding a Health & Human Services Meet-Up scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, at the Spencer Road Library in St. Peters. Job-seekers, professionals and students alike who are interested in healthcare careers and connections are invited to attend this “un-job fair.” The fair includes networking, refreshments and prizes. Registration is required and spots are still available.
“This is our second meet-up in recent months as we continue to explore using a new dynamic format rather than the old, standard job fair approach,” says Scott J. Drachnik, Director of the St. Charles County Department of Workforce & Business Development. “We look forward to a great crowd eager to connect with one another as they find out about career opportunities and training avenues.”
Among the employers and trainers participating in the meet-up are BJC HealthCare, Mercy, SSM Health, the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, ABA Consulting Services, LLC, Community Living, Inc., Delmar Gardens, Lutheran Senior Services, Perez Family Chiropractic, Willows Way, Lindenwood University, St. Charles Community College and Respond Right EMS Academy.
