February 15, 2018

St. Charles County, Missouri – The public is invited to learn more about the Gutermuth Road Interchange project on Route 364 at an open house from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, March 8, at Cottleville City Hall, 5490 Fifth Street, Cottleville, MO. Those in attendance will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning their views on the location and design of the new interchange. Interested persons can attend at any time during the open house; there is no formal presentation.

The project is being managed by St. Charles County Highway Department with oversight by MoDOT, and is a cooperative effort funded by St. Charles County, MoDOT, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to improve traffic flow and stimulate economic development. Open house attendees will be able to view large scale maps of the project plan and representatives from St. Charles County and MoDOT will be in attendance to answer questions.

The project presently includes:

  • Grading and paving along Gutermuth Road and Route 364 for new interchange ramps
  • Acceleration and deceleration lanes
  • Roundabouts
  • Retaining walls
  • Sound wall, lighting and signage

The interchange project initially was estimated at $9 million with a completion date projected to be late 2019 or early 2020. For more information about the open house, please call the St. Charles County Highway Department at 636-949-7305.

The open house is handicap accessible. Citizens who have a disability and require special services at the open house are asked to notify Chris Bostic, Project Manager for St. Charles County, by March 7 at 636-949-7305 or 800-735-2966 (TDD) so that arrangements can be made.
