St. Charles County, Missouri – Got cabin fever? Dress for the weather and let’s venture outdoors from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at Broemmelsiek Park near Defiance, to discover the curious world of birds at the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department’s Wings, Beaks and Nests program. Children ages 6-12 will love taking a hike to explore the adventurous world of these feathered creatures.
We’ll discuss ways to identify different species, and learn about nesting and unique habits.
After the hike, participants will go back to Broemmelsiek Visitors Center where they’ll make a bird feeder to take home.
There is no cost for this program, but pre-registration is requested. Call the parks department at 636-949-7535 or register online at http://bit.ly/2mHbHNx. Broemmelsiek Park is located at 1795 Highway DD near Defiance.
