St. Charles County, Missouri—Manufacturing is “alive and well” in St. Charles County, and events are planned for National Manufacturing Day to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Manufacturing Day occurs on the first Friday in October with this year’s celebration on Oct. 6.

County organizers have three events on two days this year for what they’re saying is “Manufacturing Day Mania.” These events are expected to attract more than 1,000 middle and high school students from around the St. Louis region for hands-on engagement with manufacturers and production facility tours as well as a Manufacturing Day Job Fair open to the general public.

  • Tuesday, Oct. 3
    8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Sixth Annual Manufacturing Day Student Expo
St. Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Cottleville
Students will explore what modern manufacturing is all about through engaging speakers and hands-on demonstrations that include a mobile computer numerical control (CNC) machine, virtual welder, tool and dye process, and more. Approximately 30 employers are participating in the expo. Students attend a panel presentation, demonstrations, and then visit a St. Charles County manufacturing facility to observe manufacturing firsthand. Student field trips are scheduled to Component Bar Products, Craftsmen Industries, LMI Aerospace, National Cart Company, Newco Enterprises, Seyer Industries, True Manufacturing and Wainwright-Modineer.

  • Friday, Oct. 6
