[ARCHIVED] Davis Sentenced to 20 years for Statutory Sodomy 1st

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MISSOURI- The office of the Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar announces that Joseph Davis Jr, 33, of New York, was found guilty by a Judge tried case on May 31, 2017 of two counts Statutory Sodomy 1st degree. Davis was sentenced today to 10 years for each count of Statutory Rape to run consecutive for a total of 20 years in the Department of Corrections. Davis will be required to complete 85% of this sentence before being eligible for parole.

Charges arose between the years of 2011 to 2014 when Davis, while living in New York, met the victim’s mother in a video chat room. After a chat room courtship Davis saved up money to move to Missouri. The couple had an intimate relationship several years. The two child victim’s, who were threatened by Davis, delayed disclosure until Davis was no longer living in the home. Davis abused the victims in St. Charles County and committed the aforementioned crimes.

Sentencing was in front of the Honorable Jon Cunningham.
