[ARCHIVED] Davis Found Guilty of Statutory Sodomy 1st Degree

St. Charles County, Missouri – The Office of  Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar announces that Joseph Davis Jr., 33, of New York, New York, was found guilty by a Judge-tried case of two counts of statutory sodomy 1st degree. Davis is currently in custody and his bond is set at $100,000.00 cash only.

Charges arose between the years of 2011 to 2014 when Davis, while living in New York, met the victim’s mother in a video chat room. After a chat room courtship Davis saved up money to move to Missouri. The couple had an intimate relationship for several years. The two child victims, who were threatened by Davis, delayed disclosure until Davis was no longer living in the home. Davis abused the victims in St. Charles County and committed the aforementioned crimes.

Sentencing is set for July 31, 2017, in front of the Honorable Jon Cunningham. Davis faces a minimum of a 10 year sentence.
