St. Charles County, Missouri — St. Charles County has the highest median household income of any Missouri County -- $74,009 per year – according to newly released information from the 2015 U.S. Census and the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center (MERIC). St. Charles County’s 2015 median household income is an increase of more than 13 percent over the community’s 2010 level of $65,281.
The top 5 counties were St. Charles ($74,009), Platte ($72,548), Clay ($65,106), Cass ($62,996) and St. Louis ($61,569). The 2015 median household income for Missouri was $50,200; for the U.S., it was $55,775.
“Let me congratulate the residents of St. Charles County and the businesses that employ them here and around the St. Louis region for the prosperity our local households enjoy,” said St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann. “Our community consistently has been either the first, or one of the first, in highest household income for decades. This speaks to the productivity of our skilled workforce and the business successes and partnerships our community is known for.”
