St. Charles County, Missouri – Michelle D. McBride, collector of revenue, was recently installed as the Missouri County Collectors’ Association (MCCA) President. She will serve a one-year term through April 2017.

As president, McBride is the executive officer of the Association, presides at all meetings, and serves as the MCCA representative to the Missouri Association of Counties (MAC) Board and on the MAC Legislative Committee. “This position is an honor and an amazing opportunity,” said McBride. “MCCA is a wonderful organization that provides fantastic education for county collectors state-wide. I am looking forward to furthering the purposes and ideals of the Association. After serving on the By-Laws Committee for the past two years, I have created a special committee to draft policies and procedures to help ensure the utmost in integrity and professionalism of MCCA for the future.”

MCCA was formed in 1968 to provide county collectors and collector-treasurers with annual training and solutions to common problems, and to assist in building productive relationships with legislative, executive and judicial branches of Missouri state government. Prior to her installation as president of MCCA, McBride was the organization’s secretary and in vice-president positions.

McBride has served as St. Charles County’s Collector of Revenue since March 1, 2007. In addition to her position as President of MCCA, Michelle is the treasurer of the National Association of County Collectors, Treasurers and Finance Officers (NACCTFO).
