St. Charles County, Missouri – Don’t miss out on all the egg hunt fun at the Youth Activity Park this year! On Saturday, March 19, children from around the region will have the opportunity to participate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to noon, as well as a new Egg Hunt for Special Needs Children from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Youth Activity Park, located at 7801 Highway N in Dardenne Prairie. Space is limited at this community event for children, so pre-registration is suggested. Children 12 years and younger can participate.

Rain or shine, more than 4,000 candy-filled eggs will be hidden throughout the park’s 25-acre facility for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. There will be three separate hunts scheduled for children that morning. Hunts for toddlers ages 3 and under begin at 10 a.m.; children ages 4 – 6 at 10:30 a.m.; and kids ages 7 – 12 at 11 a.m. With nearly 1,400 eggs to find in each age group, every child should go home with some goodies! After the hunt, children can come inside the park complex to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny, get their face painted, and participate in fun games and other activities. Ronald McDonald will arrive at 10 a.m. to visit and hunt with children, and then perform a magic show at 11 a.m. The McDonald’s Drink Runner will be on location from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. offering complimentary drinks to families. The annual Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by Renewal by Anderson and is limited to 100 children per hunt. The cost of the hunt is $5 per child. Pre-registration is required due to limited space.

New this year, the St. Charles County Parks Department is teaming up with the St. Charles County Police Department for the first-ever Egg Hunt for Special Needs Children. This one-of-a-kind hunt will feature thousands of candy and toy-filled eggs for children with mobility restrictions, and sensory impairments to find in areas of the park, as well as special beeping eggs for the children with visual impairments to seek. There will be three separate hunts during the festivities. Hunts for children with sensory impairments (ages 12 and under) begin at 1 p.m., children with mobility impairments (ages 12 and under) at 1:30 p.m. and children with visual impairments (ages 12 and under) at 2 p.m. Children with visual impairments will get to seek beeping eggs that the police bomb squad designed. After each hunt, children will also have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny and play egg-themed games inside the park complex. The Egg Hunt for Special Needs Children is sponsored by Renewal by Andersen, Alex Bishop Inc. McDonald’s, Cornerstone UMC, Care Trak, and Batteries Plus and Bulbs St. Peters.
