St. Charles County, Missouri – The community is invited to come in out of the cold, sip a cup of hot apple cider, and enjoy free musical performances from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13 at the annual Sounds of the Season at St. Charles County Heritage Museum, located at 1630 Heritage Landing, St. Peters, MO 63301. Presented by the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department and sponsored by Renewal by Andersen, this popular musical program also features a new holiday snowman train display and a gingerbread train display. Plus, the first 50 guests will receive a complimentary 2015 commemorative ornament to remember the special occasion.
Musical performances begin at 1:30 p.m. with the renaissance music of the Greenleaf Singers, followed by a 2 p.m. performance from accomplished pianist and Mozingo Music Teacher, Bethany Coad, who will be accompanied by her husband, Matthew Coad. Next, at 2:40 p.m., Ruth Mellor, a clarinetist with the St. Charles Municipal Band, will begin entertaining. To complete the day, the Nicole Jonas Group will perform a variety of music from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
While at the museum, guests may tour the free interactive transportation exhibit, On The Move…A History of Transportation in St. Charles County, which showcases rivers, rails and roadways in St. Charles County. The museum is open until 5 p.m.
