Charges Filed in the January O’Fallon Home Invasion
St. Charles County, Missouri - The Office of Prosecuting Attorney Joseph G. McCulloch announces that on May 19, 2023, Ronald W Riley, 18, of St. Louis was charged with Accessory to Robbery 1st, Accessory to Burglary 1st, Accessory to Assault 1st, and Armed Criminal Action. On May 19, 2023, the Juvenile/Family Court ordered certification and did rule that the juvenile is to be transferred to the court for general jurisdiction for the purpose of prosecution.
Charges arose in January of 2023 when Riley along with three other defendants invaded a home in O’Fallon. The four victims were awakened by a noise and upon investigating were confronted by four black males with handguns. The suspects demanded money and forced the homeowner to hand over their car keys. Despite the victim’s compliance to suspect’s demands one of the defendants struck the victim with a handgun in the face. Another suspect fired a weapon in the direction of the victim. The suspects then fled the home and escaped in a second stolen car. Police were able to pursue and eventually apprehend the suspects. One suspect is 18-year-old Hakizimana Claude who is currently in custody and has a bond set at $2,000,000.00. Co-defendant Marcell Hamilton, 15, was certified early this month and remains in custody.
Riley is currently in custody and has a bond of $100,000.00. This matter is now pending before The Honorable Judge Dennis Chassaniol.
