[ARCHIVED] Ehlmann Appoints Bob Schnur as St. Charles County Assistant Director of Administration

Bob Schnur

February 10, 2022

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO – St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann has appointed County Director of Finance Bob Schnur to serve on his Executive staff as Assistant Director of Administration. He will replace Jennifer George, who is leaving government for a position in the private sector. Schnur will begin his new position Feb. 24, 2022.

“Bob’s experience with St. Charles County government makes him an excellent fit for this position,” Ehlmann says. “He was first elected to the St. Charles County Council in 1995 and served District 3 for 12 years. In 2008, I appointed him as Director of Finance. Both experiences have provided him with a strong knowledge base about County government and a working knowledge of all departments. We are fortunate to have him accept this new role.”

Prior to working for the County, Schnur was in public accounting for 31 years and owned a private accounting practice which merged with a local accounting firm in 2007. He is a CPA and graduated from the University of Missouri—St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

George was appointed by Ehlmann in 2008. Prior to her appointment, she served as Director of Public Affairs at the Missouri Department of Economic Development and worked in policy development in the Missouri state senate.

“It is with very mixed feelings that I accepted Jennifer’s resignation,” Ehlmann says. “Jennifer has been a driving force for my administration in moving to modernize our paper systems and more streamlined procedures. Her talents have been an asset to the County, and I will miss her advice and ideas.”
