The St. Charles County Department of Public Health has been authorized by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) to begin administering booster vaccinations to eligible individuals who have completed the recommended vaccine regimen for any of the three available COVID-19 vaccines in the United States.
Who is Eligible for Booster Doses?
Individuals are eligible to receive a booster dose if they have completed the two-dose regimen for the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccine at least six months prior and are:
- Ages 65 or older.
- Ages 18-64 and have an underlying medical condition.
- Ages 18-64 and have an increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of living or working in an occupational or institutional setting.
Individuals who received the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine may receive a booster dose if they are 18 years of age or older and were vaccinated two or more months prior.
