As the COVID-19 Delta variant becomes more prevalent throughout the country, the St. Charles County Department of Public Health (DPH) continues to provide multiple opportunities for residents to receive the vaccine. As of July 28, 49.7 percent of County residents have initiated vaccination and 44.7 percent have completed vaccination.
“I encourage residents to talk with a healthcare provider they trust, ask them if the vaccine is safe for them, and follow the advice of that healthcare professional ,” says St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann.
Clinical studies show COVID-19 vaccination is safe and highly effective in:
• Preventing infection.
• Reducing the risk for severe complications and hospitalization.
• Stopping the spread of the virus and variants.
