St. Charles County, Missouri – Looking for a summer job? If so, then the American Job Center of St. Charles County (formerly the Missouri Career Center of St. Charles County) has the perfect opportunity for you! The Center is hosting the first annual Summer Hiring Blitz.
“From students to teachers to individuals with full-time jobs looking to make a little extra money, summer jobs are in high demand and employers need to fill them quickly. Our goal for this new event is to serve as a connection point between employers and job seekers,” said Karen Grim, Acting Director of the St. Charles County Department of Workforce Development, which is the local operator of the American Job Center.
The Summer Hiring Blitz is comprised of two events:
• Blitz Curbside Packet Pick-Up: On March 25 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., job seekers can drive up to the American Job Center, located at 212 Turner Blvd., St. Peters, MO 63376, to pick up applications and packets of information about employers who are hiring for the summer.
Employers participating in the Blitz are hiring for a variety of positions, including food service crew members and managers, maintenance workers, cashiers, courtesy clerks, event ushers and ticket takers, and more.
• Blitz Job Fairs: On April 1 and April 8 from 1-4 p.m., job seekers can return to the American Job Center to meet the employers hiring, ask questions, and turn in applications received during the Blitz Curbside Packet Pick-Up.
Registration is not required for job seekers who want to attend any of the Summer Hiring Blitz events.
