St. Charles County, Missouri – Fall is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate the new season than by bringing the family out for a day of crafts, historical demonstrations and outdoor festivities! Join the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, for the annual Fall Harvest Festival at the Educational Agriculture Area in Broemmelsiek Park, 1615 Schwede Road in Wentzville. Admission is free.

To keep guests safe, hand sanitizer will be available, and demonstrations and entertainment will be spread out throughout the park’s 3-acre agriculture garden. This year’s family-friendly activities include:

  • wreath making using natural materials gathered in the parks
  • old-fashioned woodworking and fiber arts/spinning
  • paper marbling and other hands-on crafts
  • antique farm equipment and machinery display and demonstrations from the IL-MO Tractor and Engine Club
  • festival-goers of all ages will enjoy spinning about while using the historic sorghum press to make molasses
  • the 3-acre corn maze is back with more twists, turns and dead ends than ever

Park staff and vendors will sell pumpkins and other vegetables from the agriculture gardens, as well as a variety of historical toys and candy from the festival’s general store tent.

Registration is not required and there is no charge to attend the event, but wreath building is $3 – $5.
