St. Charles County, Missouri- The Office of Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar announces that Robert A. Claybrook, 23, of Wentzville, MO was sentenced today to serve 25 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, following his plea of guilty to Murder 2nd and Armed Criminal Action.
Charges arose on the night of May 23, 2019 when Claybrook and the victim agreed to meet at the entrance of Lindenwood University. The victim was seen on surveillance video getting into a vehicle driven by Claybrook. The two men proceeded to Hwy H to discuss an unpaid drug debt when an argument ensued. The defendant retrieved a 9mm pistol and shot the victim several times. Claybrook left the victim’s lifeless body in the field of a rural area without notifying authorities.
The sentence was imposed by the Honorable Dan Pelikan.
