St. Charles County, Missouri – Take home a commemorative beanie and qualify to win a free night’s stay in a camping cabin or small shelter rental when you participate in this year’s Wild in the Woods Broemmelsiek Park Chill Factor Trail Run on Saturday, Feb. 21. Hosted by the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department, this fun, scenic trail run gives runners a chance to experience the great outdoors during the winter months! Join area supporters of the parks and register before Feb. 6 and receive a discounted rate of $30.
Participants choose from a five or 10 mile run at Broemmelsiek Park, located 1795 Highway DD, Defiance, MO 63341, that winds through sections of new and existing single-track trails in the park. The run begins at 10 a.m. and prizes will be awarded to top men and women in their age group. Light refreshments and snacks will be also served after the race.
“The Wild in the Woods Broemmelsiek Park Chill Factor Trail Run takes participants through wooded hillsides and open fields in the park,” said Parks Director Bettie Yahn-Kramer. “It’s the perfect course for new runners who want to experience the trail run scene.”

All participants will get a commemorative beanie and will be entered into the park drawing for a free night’s stay in a camping cabin at Klondike Park near Augusta or small shelter rental at any of our parks.
