[ARCHIVED] Portion of Westwood Drive Temporarily Restricted to One-Way Traffic Starting Aug. 5

July 29, 2019

St. Charles County, Missouri — The St. Charles County Highway Department will temporarily restrict a portion of Westwood Drive to one-way traffic, eastbound only, beginning Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, to allow for installation of new pavement and shoulders. The one-way restricted area will be between South Breeze Lane and Motherhead Road. All other areas of Westwood Drive will remain open to two-way traffic.

Westbound traffic will be required to detour around the one-way restricted area for approximately five months. During construction, eastbound traffic will be allowed, but no westbound traffic will be permitted through the area. Westbound motorists can gain access around the area by using Wolfrum Road to Highway 94 to South Breeze Lane to Westwood Drive. The Highway Department will post signs notifying motorists of the westbound detour, as well as use changeable message boards to notify residents in advance of the traffic change.

This road project is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the County’s road system for the safety of the travelling public. For more information about road projects underway in unincorporated St. Charles County, please call the Highway Department at 636-949-7305 or visit sccmo.org/Road-Projects.
