St. Charles County, Missouri – The St. Charles County Highway Department will close Sawyer Boulevard between West Clay Street and St. Andrews Drive, weather permitting, beginning Monday, July 8, 2019, for pavement reconstruction.
Traffic will be required to use a detour route around the closure for approximately six weeks. Local traffic can access either side of the closure location, but no through traffic will be permitted. Signs notifying motorists of the closure and necessary detours will be posted. Access to Clemens Drive and Hannibal Drive will be available via St. Joan Lane for approximately two weeks during the first phase of the project. After the first phase is complete, access to these streets will be available via West Clay Street and the western half of Sawyer Boulevard up to Clemens Drive.
This road project is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the county’s road system for the safety of the travelling public.
