ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MISSOURI- The Office of Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar announces that on May 28, 2019, Robert A. Claybrook, 22, of St. Charles, was charged with Murder 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Abandonment of a Corpse.
Charges arose on the night of May 23, 2019 when Claybrook and the victim agreed to meet at the entrance of Lindenwood University. The victim was seen on surveillance video getting into a vehicle driven by Claybrook. The two men proceeded to Hwy H to discuss an unpaid drug debt when an argument ensued. The defendant retrieved a 9mm pistol and shot the victim several times. Claybrook left the victim’s lifeless body in the field of a rural area without notifying authorities.
Claybrook’s bond has been set at $750,000, cash only by the Honorable Terry R. Cundiff.
