St. Charles County, Missouri – Celebrate the life of one of Missouri’s greatest frontiersmen at National Boone Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, June 7, at The Historic Daniel Boone Home, 1868 Highway F in Defiance. Listen to Daniel Boone experts, participate in demonstrations relating to Boone’s life, and enjoy half-price admission on tours of the Boone Home.

Renowned Boone Scholars Ted Franklin Belue and Ken Kamper will discuss a study of Boone’s portrait and various topics on his life in Missouri. Visitors to this National Historic Site also can enjoy black powder demonstrations, learn about land surveying in the 1800s, and take a peek inside the open buildings throughout the village.

The Historic Daniel Boone Home is nestled in the rolling hills of Missouri’s scenic wine country and overlooks the Femme Osage Valley. The home and surrounding village represent life in the early 1800s and bring the legacy of Daniel Boone to life.
