St. Charles County, Missouri – Insects are the largest and most diverse group of animals on Earth with more than a million described species. They represent more than half of all known living organisms.
Join the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department’s interpretive staff from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 4 at Veterans Tribute Park, 1031 Kisker Road in Weldon Spring, as we explore “Insects and Crawly Things.” We’ll take a bug’s eye view of the world of insects and other invertebrates at this new program.
Participants ages 6 and older are invited to bring their curiosity and enthusiasm for exploration as we discover what lies beneath, on top, and all around the dirt under your feet. We’ll also take a short hike in the park so participants are encouraged to dress for the weather.
The program is free, but pre-registration is required. Call the Parks Department at 636-949-7535 or register online at http://bit.ly/InsectsAndCrawlyThings.
