[ARCHIVED] Northcutt Found Guilty for Murder 1st and Armed Criminal Action

St. Charles County, Missouri- The Office of Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar announces that on January 10, 2019 Larry Northcutt, 30, of Godfrey, IL was found guilty by jury of Murder in the 1st degree and armed criminal action.

Charges arouse on July 22, 2016 when co-defendant, Natasha Smith, received a call from the victim asking for a ride. Smith knowing that the victim and Northcutt were adversaries offered to bring Northcutt with her so he could confront the victim. Northcutt hid in the trunk, Smith drove and co-defendant, Brent Jones, was in the passenger seat. Once the victim was in the rear seat of the vehicle, Smith drove the vehicle Southbound on U.S. 67 over the Clark Bridge into St. Charles County. Smith then pulled to the side of the road claiming she had a flat tire. Northcutt exited the trunk, pulled the victim from the vehicle and stabbed him. The victim escaped but collapsed on the inside shoulder of Northbound U.S. 67 where he was found by law enforcement. The St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s office revealed the cause of death was a stab wound.

Northcutt is set for sentencing on March 14, 2019 in Division 2.
