[ARCHIVED] Enjoy Free Activities During Winter Trails Day at Broemmelsiek Park

St. Charles County, Missouri – Embrace the season! Join the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department for Winter Trails Day 2019. This annual hiking event begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, and features a day of fun, winter activities at Broemmelsiek Park, 1795 Highway DD near Defiance.

Depending on the weather, grab your favorite hiking boots, cross country skis, or snow shoes and meet park staff at Shelter #7 for a short, guided tour through the park. After the hike, warm up with hot chocolate under the pavilion and enter to win a park camping certificate. A drawing will be held and two lucky participants will win a complimentary one-night stay in a camping cabin or two nights of tent camping at St. Charles County’s Klondike Park near Augusta. Klondike Park is a premier camping destination nestled in the heart of Historic Missouri Wine Country. Participants must be present to win.

The event is free and leashed pets are welcome. Pre-registration is requested.

To register, or for more information about Winter Trails Day, call the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department at 636-949-7535 or visit http://bit.ly/WinterTrailsDay2019.
