[ARCHIVED] Burnett Found Guilty of Burglary and Child Molestation


ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MISSOURI- THE OFFICE OF PROSECUTING ATTORNEY TIM LOHMAR announces that Matthew R. Burnett, 28, of Lake St. Louis, was found guilty by a jury of two counts Burglary 1st degree and two counts child molestation 1st degree. Burnett was found to be a prior and persistent offender and therefore is facing up to 30 years or life in prison on each count. His bond was increased to $500,000.00.

Charges arose in December 2012 when Burnett unlawfully entered a home in St. Charles County on two different occasions to commit the aforementioned crimes.

Sentencing is set for January 5, 2015 in front of the Honorable Jon Cunningham.
