St. Charles County, Missouri – Does your child enjoy discovering nature and exploring the outdoors? Then St. Charles County Parks’ nature camps are the perfect place for them to experience it all this summer! Children ages 7–12 can choose from full- and half-day sessions at three different St. Charles County Parks.
The fun begins the week of June 11–15 with an all-day Nature Camp adventure at Indian Camp Creek Park near Wentzville. Youth ages 9-12 discover nature using sensory awareness and science with safe, hands-on experimental activities. Participants will take a hike, explore a creek, build a shelter, find wild edibles, discover their crafty side, play games, and make new friends along the way! Campers meet daily from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and should bring a water bottle and sack lunch each day except on Friday, when camp counselors prepare a special lunch for everyone. Cost of camp is $100 and registration is required. Wear closed-toe shoes every day and be prepared to get wet and dirty. The camp is held outdoors, rain or shine.
For the younger kids, join us for two week-long, half-day Park Explorer Kids Club programs, June 18–22 at Broemmelsiek Park near Defiance and on July 9–13 at Quail Ridge Park near Wentzville. Children ages 7–11 learn about the environment, prairies, trails, and waterways through nature-themed games, crafts, activities, and special friends of the park. Explorers meet daily from 8:30–11:30 a.m. and will receive a special lunch prepared by camp counselors on Friday. Cost of camp is $45 per person and registration is required. Each session is limited to 24 participants. Wear closed-toe shoes every day and be prepared to get wet and dirty. The camp is held outdoors, rain or shine.
