Warming Center Resources for Cold Weather
If you or someone you know needs to find a warm place to stay in cold weather, the St. Charles County Division of Emergency Management recommends these resources:
- List of daytime warming centers from the Missouri Dept. of Health and Human Services: https://ogi.oa.mo.gov/DHSS/warmingCenter
- United Way 211: Call 211 to speak to a resource specialist.
- Continuum of Care Warming Center Response: If temperatures are predicted to be 20 degrees or below overnight, the St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren Continuum of Care will activate a Free Warming Center Response to provide safe sleeping accommodations for the night. To locate the nearest warming center, call the hotline number at 636-395-0492. For more info: http://www.communitycouncilstc.org/coc/warming-center-response
