Volunteering

Volunteers are integral to the health department development, joining programs that benefit you, your neighbors, and the community. These individuals, groups, and businesses provide many services that help St. Charles rank highly amongst the list of Missouri’s healthiest counties. Not only do they strengthen existing services, but volunteers also contribute new ideas, skills, and perspectives that go a long way toward long-term efforts.

Did You Know

  • The national volunteerism rate is around 25%?

Requirements

Individuals of all abilities are invited to join the Department of Public Health volunteer team. While there are no special abilities needed to contribute, each volunteer is given comprehensive training and orientation to extend skills necessary to complete the task.

In addition to the personal growth, volunteering with the health department introduces you to new people, explores new career opportunities and improves our region.
