Promoting healthy lifestyles and community improvement through education is an important mission of the Department of Public Health and its partners. Experienced staff and professional educators offer instructional classes and hands-on trainings that cover a wide range of health topics for children and adults.

Child Care Education
These classes are designed to educate children or caregivers on a variety of health matters. Specific classes are presented to help childcare providers maintain "Clock Hours."

Health Education Classes
These classes for children and adults will promote healthy behaviors and seek to prevent the spread of disease in our community.

Emergency & Disaster Preparedness
These classes will focus on means for keeping family, businesses, and organizations safe in times of natural disaster or widespread emergency, focusing on the Ready in 3 and National Incident Management System concepts.

Environmental Education
These programs encourage the protection and conservation of natural resources. Tours of the Recycle Works locations are also open to youth groups.
