COVID-19 Latest News (Updated Sept. 16, 2020)

Most St. Charles County Government buildings are now reopen to the public after being closed to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health of the community and County employees. 

Upon entrance to any County building, employees and the public are encouraged to wear cloth facial protection, and everyone is required to have a health screening, including temperature check, before entering. Those with a fever or who have other COVID-19 symptoms will not be permitted to enter the building. View release for more information.

About Us

The St. Charles County Department of Facilities Management works to protect, safeguard and maintain all county buildings, building systems, grounds and capital investments of St. Charles County taxpayers. We do this through an efficient maintenance work order system, performing routine and preventative maintenance on all building systems and grounds, continually monitoring expenditures, and investing in energy saving equipment with a high return on investment.

In addition, the department continually expands employee training programs, maintains a professional work environment, and ensures professional building aesthetics while providing a safe environment for all employees, patrons and citizens alike. Facilities Management maintains 760,000 sq. ft. of County buildings.
