Municipal Prosecution Unit

Attorneys seeking to obtain a recommendation or discovery in a case from the St. Charles County Counselor's Office Municipal Prosecution Unit should follow the listed procedures.

How to Request a Recommendation

A Request for Recommendation and any compliance documentation (i.e. proof of insurance, driver's license, restitution) should be provided directly to the prosecutor by:

  • Completing the online form or sending an email. The recommendation will be returned as a PDF, which may be printed out or emailed to your client for signatures.
  • USPS first class mail (must include SASE) to:
    St. Charles County Counselor's Office
    Municipal Prosecution Unit
    100 N. Third St., Suite 216
    St. Charles, MO 63301

Defense counsel must use one of the methods to make the request. Any Requests for Recommendations filed with the Municipal Court will go unanswered.

How to Request Discovery

Discovery is governed by Supreme Court Rule 37.54. Discovery may be requested by:

  • Emailing the Municipal Prosecution Unit or
  • Submitting the request via USPS first class mail (must include SASE) to:

    Municipal Prosecution Unit
    100 N. Third St., Suite 216
    St. Charles, MO 63301

If requesting video or audio evidence, a flash drive and SASE are required.
