The project involves improvements to Highway N from Motherhead Road to Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Proposed improvements include:
- Resurface roadway from Motherhead Road to Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
- Install new pavement markings and signs on Highway N.
- Construct ADA-compliant concrete sidewalk on the south side of the road.
- Modify the location of the pedestrian push buttons along the south side of Highway N in front of Francis Howell Central High School.
- Reconstruct private and commercial building entrances along Highway N to provide ADA-compliant pedestrian crossings.
The project is funded by St. Charles County’s ½-cent Transportation Sales Tax and with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Surface Transportation Program-Suballocated (STP-S) funding. The engineering design consultant is Bartlett & West. The project is estimated to cost approximately $1.9M.
