#1 - Making My Family Special

Learn about Daniel, his family and the importance that was placed on life at home. By participating in a tour, Tiger Cub Scouts can mark off Requirement 1G: Go to a library, historical society, museum, old farm or historical building or visit an older person in your community. Discover how family life was the same and how it was different many years ago.

#4 - Know Your Home and Community

The Historic Daniel Boone Home is part of the St. Charles County community and qualifies for Requirement 4F: Visit an important place in your community, such as a historic or government location. Explain why it is important. Visit the homestead of Daniel Boone and find out the important role he played in American and Missouri history.

#10 - Family Fun

Candlelight Tours: Visit The Historic Daniel Boone Home with your family for our annual Candlelight Tours. Night has fallen, the stars shine above and thousands of candles illuminate a world on the edge of the frontier. Step back into the 19th century to celebrate Christmas. Learn about different traditions while enjoying hot wassail. This activity qualifies for Requirement 10F: Attend a concert, play or other live program with your family. Candlelight Tours are held the first and second weekend of December each year.

Pre-Registered Admission: Adult $12; Child (age 5-12) $8; Children 4 and under are free
At the Door Admission: Adult $14; Child (age 5-12) $10; Children 4 and under are free

The Historic Daniel Boone Home qualifies for Requirement 3D: Find out where places of historical interest are located in or near your town or city. Go visit one of them with your family or den. Visit the homestead of Daniel Boone and find out why America was special to him and discover why it is uniquely special to you.
