  1. Basic Sanitation Certification Classes

    January 19, 2017, 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM @ Public Health (formerly Community Health & the Environment)

    Designed for owners and employees of area food service organizations, these certification classes will provide sanitation information for all food handlers. Anyone preparing, serving, transporting, warehousing, stocking, or handling food in any manner should complete this course. Participants must earn a score of 70 or higher on a 50-question final examination to become certified. Please recognize that class may be canceled or rescheduled if there is insufficient enrollment.

  2. Diabetes and Seizure Training

    January 19, 2017, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Public Health (formerly Community Health & the Environment)

    Open to St. Charles County-based child care providers, as well as parents and guardians of young children, this program will identify ways to help manage diabetes in a child care setting and to provide appropriate first aid to seizure patients. Participants will gain a better understanding of diabetes and common seizure types to recognize a potential medical emergency. Interested participants must register using the link below (walk in guests will not be admitted). Paper training certificates will not be issued in 2017. *Please note that children under the age of 16 are not allowed to attend this training, per Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services guidelines.

  3. Positive Discipline

    Open to St. Charles County-based child care providers, as well as parents and guardians of young children, this program will identify and understand different discipline styles and their potential outcomes on children. The class will describe positive discipline and guidance strategies that correspond to the unique development needs of different aged children.   4. Pet Food Pantry (Please note date change in January due to weather forecast)

    January 28, 2017, 10:00 AM - 12:01 PM @ Pet Adoption Center

    Qualifying pet owners will receive dry food for their dog or cat on a first-come, first-served basis. To qualify, pet owners must:

    • Register in advance by calling 636-949-7387 and present identification proving St. Charles County residency (government-issued identification or utility bill).
    • Show proof of need.
    • Show proof of current rabies vaccination for each animal covered or update the animal's shot record at the time of registration.
    • Show proof that the animal is spayed or neutered or make arrangements to do so at the time of registration.
    • Bring a container large enough to carry at least three pounds of food.
