St. Charles County, Missouri – Give back to the community by making a mark on a St. Charles County Park! The St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to assist with a spring Trail Work Day from 9 a.m.–1 p.m., Saturday, April 21, at Quail Ridge Park in Wentzville. Lunch will be provided to all who lend a helping hand.

Bring a pair of gloves, sturdy boots, and safety glasses to do your part to grow our regional parks system. Park staff and members of Gateway Off-Road Cyclists (GORC) will lead the projects and show volunteers how to build sustainable natural-surfaced trails. In addition to assisting with general trail maintenance, volunteers will help reroute a section of a popular trail in the park.

Organizations, individuals, and groups interested in helping with our Trail Work Day can pre-register on our website at http://bit.ly/2urTkTJ or call the parks department at 636-949-7535.
