Pinwheel Garden Ceremony in Recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month
Tuesday, April 17, 2018
Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the pinwheel in 2008 as the national symbol for child abuse prevention. Each pinwheel in the garden will represent a child in the community who was proven to be abused and neglected in 2017. During the ceremony, local officials will finish the garden installation and address the need for increased awareness of child maltreatment. Additionally, they will share how to report suspected child abuse and neglect.
Child abuse and neglect affects every county in Missouri. Speaking up for abused and neglected children is critical as unreported cases could result in the death of a child.
With help from the community, St. Charles County is committed to protecting the lives of its youngest residents and ending child abuse.
RSVP by April 13 to the phone number or email below. The ceremony will be held on the south lawn of the Executive Office Building. Parking will be available in the Executive Building lot in addition to nearby street parking.
