"One Stop" Development Assistance Program

About the Program

This recently expanded initiative is designed to provide personal assistance to any potential applicant looking to develop their property in the unincorporated areas of St. Charles County. One Stop is an informal meeting where county staff members are available to meet onsite or in our offices and answer preliminary questions concerning any potential development project (staff from private utilities and other governmental agencies can also be scheduled to attend upon request). This meeting is completely optional and intended to help identify concerns or answer questions anyone may have before the permit or development review process begins.

This program is designed to allow the applicant, developer, builder, or property owner and the One Stop staff the opportunity to discuss development concepts, identify process requirements and regulatory issues, explore solutions to potential problems, and to determine the most efficient and time sensitive manner to formally review plans for approval. The desired goal is to increase understanding of the process and requirements before submittal to save applicants time and money.
