Property Maintenance Program

Purpose


The Urban County Property Maintenance Program offers a one-time grant of up to $2,500 to qualified homeowners to use toward addressing existing cited violations by an inspector in one of the participating jurisdictions. The grant must be used to bring existing housing, garages and fencing up to code. Grants are not available for the removal of trash/garbage. Funding is limited and available on a first come first served basis.

Qualifications


In order to be considered for the program, an applicant must:
  • Be a homeowner and live in one of the following participating communities: unincorporated St. Charles County, Cottleville, Dardenne Prairie, Lake St. Louis, St. Paul, St. Peters, Weldon Spring or Wentzville;
  • Reside in the home at least one year prior to application;
  • Have received a code violation notice from a participating community;
  • Meet the program income qualifications established by HUD;
  • Not have previously participated in this program or the Home Improvement Loan Program.
